GT4p came after GT3, by then Gt fans had their fill of GT.

Right now they are STARVED for some GT glory. You just showed how successful prologue will be, 1.3 mill and NOT even relesed in North America and after a GT game already hit the system.

GT5p did 10% of user base in Japan NOt counting PSn downlaods.
GT always had lowest attach rate per hardware in Japan.
Euro/NA GT5p is much better then jdm version.
Simple math says GT5p easily easily hits over a million world wide.

And these are hardcore racer fans and car nuts that have not had a reason to buy a PS3 yet, just a taste of GT is plenty enough for them to jump on board.
