I suppose it is. The line between re-release and new iteration for Tetris is really blurry. Can we actually say there have been multiple Tetris games, or is it all just the same game released with slight differences? (Tetris vs Tetris DS vs Tetris Axis, for example)

I would say that if you count the different iterations of Tetris as different games, then we should separate the different "updates" of Minecraft as different games since the difference between the iterations of Tetris are about the same as the "updates" of Minecraft minus the graphical differences.

Makes sense to me I suppose. Although the updates are free patches, aren't they?
