In any case, it just shows all those indie devs, that porting their games to PC is very profitable for them.

But anyways, most of those indie games were launched first on PC and then on consoles.

Hopefully the news that the Steam releases of the Ys games are some of Exeeds' best selling titles shows some smaller Japanese devs they should bring their games over and release the on Steam.

Noy only Japanese small devs...

The big ones need to realize that PC is a good platform too. Thankfully, it seems that they have understood it (at least Capcom, Konami and Square-Enix)

I think they are *slowly* waking up to that fact, it helps that gamers have been putting up petitions and good arguments on why they should support the PC.
Even EA seems to be supporting the PC better these days, with Frostbite being best on the PC, which is a change of pace from a few years ago where publishers were calling all PC gamers dirty, filthy pirates.

It also helps that they don't need many retail copies if any at all to save costs and don't have to pay console makers a dime to release a PC version yet are able to sell games at pretty much the same price. Realistic assholes but yeah, there is no con to it.
