When they die, these forums die. The past couple of weeks have been boring to me as it is already. Plus, there are no games on my console of choice so I need to go online and brag about it to make me feel better about my purchase. 
People shouldn't really take the fanboys seriously anyways. Let them get themselves in trouble. Go along and have your serious discussions and ignore the threads that are annoying. Report what you feel is inappropriate. Let the mods do their jobs. Some people enjoy the forums being a wild west shootout and makes them want to hit up these forum. These forums live off of hits and anything that makes it more lively is beneficial to it. Topics that go past 50 posts are goldmines for clicks and usually those topics are trollish.
