2. Sonic Adventure 2 (same last year)
First Impression: 10/10. My first Sonic game, and again another game that I read about a lot from the DC version before I finally bought it, and the game did not disappoint. Part of the reason why I had no hatred for the treasure-hunting or mech modes are because I felt they were a natural part of the experience, and I enjoyed them all. The storyline was just the thing my 12-year-old self needed, too.
Replay: 10/10. Getting all the emblems and unlocking Green Hill zone was great fun, but the core missions were good enough that they could be done over and over again.
Technical: 9.5/10. The only imperfection is the tendency of 3D Sonics to be kind of glitchy. The different gameplay modes made for very expansive content, including variety of missions and a great balance of speed and platforming in the Sonic modes, and the other modes were all well-crafted too.
Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
