I thought the Vita was pretty nice to hold, but I never held it for hours, so I can't say if it would be nice to hold over a long period of time. The PSP nearly destroyed my hands after about and hour and a half of playing it, so I can't see the Vita being worse. Also, the PSP doesn't have a real analog stick and the Vita has two. That alone makes the Vita a better designed product.
