I don't think that's a factor with the general public, as they don't tend to so much reasearch into these things. Only hard core gamers would be aware of the high failure rate.

Not sure about this, these failure reports have been aired on regular news channels as well. I even read about it in Fortune (I think) it was one of the money mags here at work???
