The game is just not optimised at all. Fire effects will effect frame rate significantly which is basically your attack when riding the dragon. You can cause frame drops at will, just approach enemies and use fire breath.
And I feel I need to reiterate how bad/easy the bosses are.
It feels like Square made the game graphically bad so that they don't have to optimize it (basically cheaply made) and have it run well, only it doesn't. Also, I noticed there is a patch v1.02 so Tommorow ill try that out and see if its any better.
