Final Fantasy III (SNES/1994) Guessed by Player2 and brendude13

The third and last of the SNES games in my top 10, Final Fantasy III (VI) is, in my opinion, the finest turn-based role-player game ever made. The characters are well-written and well-realized; the story is moving, intelligent, and unforgettable; the combat and inventory systems are well-executed; the music and art direction are timeless; and the challenge level appropriate throughout. Moreover, the game is packed with content: over a dozen playable characters, each with a deep and involving backstory, plus plenty of hidden areas and side quests, and, last but not least, one of the very best video game villains of all time.
