Now the Wii-U as we know has and has had available units all year round. If you wanted one, you could have walked into a store and pick one up. Yet they are at 4.5 million. The Ps4 was released on November 15 2013 and is sitting at 2.4 million units sold. That's a lil over 1 month on the market. And as we all know, you cannot walk into a store and pick one up. Its heavily supply constraint. They come in stock, they sell out. If the ps4 had stock readily available, it would have surpassed the Wii-U already. Fact is, come April, the ps4 will have already surpassed the Wii-U in total sales. My thoughts, the Wii-U is selling well now due to it being Xmas time, from next week on, the sales will dip back to the around 55k a week. |
I think the PS4/X1 are supply constrained a bit, yes. But I think the Wii U sales are also starting to pick up due to deals around the holidays (300 plus some gift cards, etc.). Hopefully Nintendo continues this trend.
