Huh? What model would they use? Pac-Man only has 1 3D model that has been updated throughout the years. Why wouldnt Nintendo use the most up to date version. All characters in Smash use the most current version.


As they changed Megaman to look more like he did during the NES days. Not very true that all characters in Smash use the most current model. Just saying that I doubt they would use the exact same one from one of his most unpopular games.

Remember Classic MegMans last game was MegaMan 10 in which Capcom reverted him back to his classic design. Nintendo didnt choose anything. So outside of Zelda who most likely continues with her OoT design for Sheik (SS Zelda + Sheik would be weird), What character is not being portrayed in their most current version? Popularity doesn't matter as every company perfers their characters be portrayed in most currently known version for marketing consistency. An example of this is when CAP had to make sure all the default costumes for Marvel characters in MvsC3 had to be the most current version.
