You still have months to play it online + the online is the least of the game's draws.

The seasonal events which depent on the online mode are a huge chunk of the game plus those are the easiest way to make quick cash.

Will they disappear as well though? Are DLC packs removed as well when the servers shut down? Seasonal events are no data at all, no more updates or online rankings is a given, but I see no reason why they would disappear altogether. A final pacth with all of them in would make sense.

It's a weird move anyway. It can't cost that much server time to host a room list, it's all peer to peer from there on. Bad move.
Unless you own gt6, pushing the online community over there instead of fragmenting it is better for GT6. Understandable move I guess now GT5 copies will be littering the second hand shelves.
