I could back up the ones I'm not playing to PS3, but I like having them on my Vita for ease of access (plus it takes fucking forever to transfer from PS3). Only digital full Vita game I have is PlayStation All Stars, which is ridiculously big for what it is (includes a few patches, too). Still, it's impressive that some of these games can be compressed down to 4GB. Even though you can tell they are compressed. I wonder if in the future Sony will begin making bigger Vita game cards. A number of titles have been gimped by it now: - MLB 13 - SCE San Diego said they couldn't include everything they wanted because of file size. - FF X / X2 - X2 is a download code because you can't fit both games on the card. - Samurai Warriors 2 HD - released as a digital download only because they couldn't fit the game (which was actually comprised of 3 games) on a physical Vita card. - Killzone Mercenary - massive patch to put more of the game in because they couldn't fit it on a 4GB card. I understand the reason Sony made the limit 4GB (which is only 2x the file size limit for PSP, which was 1.8GB) is to avoid piracy, but it's beginning to impact the games which is a massive bummer. |
Sony definitely need to consider a bigger card for certain games, already 2 years into the lifecycle and games are being limited.
