When you create a console with services (aside from gaming) almost exclusively geared to the US market, with DRM so constraining that people jump sides even with a complete reversal of those policies and then have PR spinning as much as they can in regards to the innards of said console and its performance, it's expected that people will come up with a derogatory term to describe it and enjoy using it as such.

I fail to understand the surprise at the insistence of its use, unless you're in denial at how badly damaging everything related to XB1 has been to the Xbox brand.
