Last gen was an unorthodox generation. 

Might be a trend for future gens, might not.  Only time will tell.

No. That a was a lightening in a bottle chance. Those were non-gamers Nintendo bagged and they aren't returning. The market is going to shrink. It was a good thing for Nintendo though.

I'm talking about less to do with "Nintendo got lucky" and more to do with how the things early on did not set the course for the rest of the generation.
