No there is no such mindset. That indie clay game (can't remember the title) is getting a retail release, but nobody is gonna call it AAA. Most Vita retail games probably aren't AAA games (Unit 13, the golf and fishing games, etc.). When I say AAA I mean certain quality, size, graphical fidelity and general scope that in most cases requires money, time and workforce from the developer. And those games are usually still released in retail, the main exception here would be Japanese games in the West. Look at the list of games that I gave instead of clinging to a boring and far-fetched "retail doesn't mean AAA" argument.

Goodness me, calm down.

All I mean is, "AAA" is a construct mostly of this generation of games that have massive development budgets and massive advertising budgets that require a large amount of copies sold to break even.  Stranger's Wrath is neither of those things.  It's a moderately-budgeted game from a previous generation.  Duke Nukem 3D is a moderatedly budgeted game from a previous generation which is getting remade for Vita.  Would you consider that an "AAA Sega Saturn title"?

Regardless, if you want some actual AAA games like you listed (such as Elder Scrolls or Dragon Age) then your best bet is send money to Sony.  Just send them some money directly and include a note that says "here's some money to moneyhat Bethseda/EA/Rockstar" because there's no chance of these games coming across on their own at the moment.
