Problem with using "hey well i sat in a walmart for 45 minutes watching!" as a measuring stick: 1. YMMV. I don't know of any Walmart that has either console in stock. I am still yet to physically see an Xbone unit since a couple days after launch at a Best Buy. But would I make a thread about how my personal experience must make it the norm for the entire country? No, that would be silly. It's less than a week until Christmas and the consoles just launched. You're kidding yourself if you think the demand has been met. |
Everyone knows anedoctal evidence is better than statistical and stronger than financial reports...
We could go like this from some people perspective... since PS4 sold 2.4M and there isn't any in shelves, Xbone sold 1.8M and there is some in shelves from time to time that must mean than PS3 and X360 shipped a lot more, maybe in the 4M figures during holiday because there are a lot on shelves all the time...
People don't even know the full data and never will, but keep drawing stupid conclusion... then when we make silly threads with joke conclusion people can still take it as serious opinion... go figure.
The only people that truly knows the situation are logistic and top managers at both companies, all other is guesswork... but sure even if no one desired with passion one the consoles, being the new thing around christmas demand would be strong.... so they will start meeting demand in January (or later depending on pent up and availability).
