Specifying what you read is a pretty clever way to admit your level of attention to a thread. I might have to copy that idea

I also read every comment 99% of the time before posting. When it's a long thread I read the first page comments and the last page comments to get up to speed. |
This is what I basically do as well. But I still read the OP if the thread has 4 or less pages (and my I set each page to have 25 posts).
