How about if after trying to play FFXIII, you then could not play ANYTHING? That's the main difference here. While it's an issues, the issue is in a very few Wii's, you can't play one game.
Personally, I call BS on the dust thing. I think it's a different issues. Slot loading drives are cleaner, and the Wii is upright for most users. Also it's just a DVD drive. Nothing fancy there.
I have no idea what the problem is, and I am sure Nintando will fix it, but saying it's just "dust on the lens" is BS.
