Nintendo going third party is disastrous to their company at the moment. By selling software on their own hardware they don't have to pay royalties to Sony or Microsoft.
As for why i wouldn't want Nintendo on a ps4 or Xbox one? because i don't want to pay for online. I know that many Nintendo games are not online centered but, there eventually will be (smash, mario kart,x). When i have to pay monthly, i feel as if i have to play my console online or i am not getting my moneys worth. It makes online gaming a chore for me. That's why i preferred the ps3 over Xbox last gen.
