After FFX on the PS2, I stopped enjoying JRPGs (which was my favorite genre in the PS1 days) for a long time until I played Lost Odyssey, so it´s good to see you, a veteran player, is putting BD on par with LO, I´m even more interested in the game now. Plus, I hear it´s made by the same team that developed 3D Dot Game Heroes?...cause I love 3DDGH. |
Indeed, it was made by a cooperation between Silicon Studies, S-E and 5pb (the studio that designed the scenarios in the game, which look amazing).
BD doesn't have the depth of story that LO has (lets face it, few games do, it was that good), but it compensantes by having an extremely good gameplay which really takes advantage of the turn-based and job systems. The game can also be tailored to your experience, so it can be as hard or as easy as you want it to be, with different difficulty and encounter levels.
Plus, it has great characters whom are very well developed and a exceedingly good VA, easily surpassing a lot of VAs in console games (the Swordmaster Kamiizumi english VA is pretty good, even better than his Japanese VA), and you can change between english and japanese VA.
