I do understand. It's probably because all SM3D World sales discussion, plus Forza 5 launch and so on. The launch of PS4 and One and their sales battles ignited a long list of flamewars around here.
About Metas, I think critics are crazy. Almost all games got low scores this year. For me, critics are only distributing bad scores to look like they have high standards when they surelly don't have. GT6 is a complete game on an old platform, so they didn't like. F5 lacks some content on a new platform, so they didn't like. They wanted a complete and full featured complete simulation racing game in the first year? GT3 has a good metascore and launched early on PS2 gen but with less than 200 cars, the lowest car count GT ever had, so its a very similar situation to Forza.
