Yes, but Xbox One still has other advantages, Kinect is better than PS Eye, more multimedia features, better launch titles.

I don't know how you can say that with a straight face. If it were possible to have an objective measure such a claim may be possible. But lacking any decent objective measure we are left with Metacritic.

PS4 has 13 games 75 and above

Xb one has 9 games 75 and above

PS4 has 16 games 70 and above

Xb one has 10 games 70 and above.

There are a number of multiplat games that haven't received enough Xb one reviews to get a metascore for Xb one, so those numbers are artificially low for Xb one.

PS4 has 2 games below 60

Xb one has 4 games below 60

Subjectively any one person can say they prefer the line up on one console or another, and that is absolutely fine and unarguable. But it's simply not true to say that Xb one has a launch games advantage in terms of mass market appeal.

Brand Xbox has lost all advantages that could have given it a chance of being the highest selling 8th gen console. But that was only ever an outside chance as soon as $399 was announced for PS4. Even if MS had done everything right with Xb one, including somehow managing to launch at $399 with Kinect, PS4 was always likely to sell more in all regions other than North America at $399, and the gap in North America would have been a lot smaller than the PS3 / 360 gap.

It has also certainly lost all of its advantages that made winning North America all but certain. But it has retained some potential to take North America. Sony can't count those North American chickens just yet.

But I am pretty confident that Xb one will sell more in North America than the original Xbox sold globally. So it's doing some things right. But it looks like it will have a hard time trying to keep up on a global scale. the potential is there for sales outside the USA to only rise to original global Xbox levels which would mean a 9 million console contraction.

I do wonder if MS has set a sales benchmark, which if not reached means there will be no Xbox One 2. Microsoft isn't going to like Xb one underselling compared to the Xbox 360 by too much, and I do think Xb one will undersell compared to the Xbox 360.
