How many games have they had ?

A lot :O

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tales_%28series%29

Well that isn't good.

Why?
Right now they are healthy and gain a lot of popularity.
Tales of was never a big thing in the western world or as big as Final Fantasy and some others but those Franchises  all died or lost their quality in the Last Gen.Tales of is one of the few survivors of the Console J-RPG Genre even though it was a close call after the Vesperia 360 fiasco.
Tales of even gained a lot of popularity in the Last Gen and got more well known to the western people who had to search for J-RPGs.
If Bamco wants to get the Franchise bigger they have now a chance and as it looks like they want to use this chance with actually bringing their games to us in the west and localize them pretty fast.They get even faster each time now.

@Graces Wii
Would have been a waste of time and resources
The game was buggy as hell and they released it next to FF13 in Japan.It was destined to fail.It was like Bamco wanted it to fail.
Probably like for Vesperia they planned all the time a PS3 Version.And if you bring a version you bring the one that is actually a lot prettier,has a lot less bugs and more content.
And after they have seen how good Vesperia on the PS3 did in Japan they pretty sure wanted some quick cash.Especially the costume DLC in those 2 games sold extremely well.
