The manufacturing capacity of the PS4 is usually limited by the amount of silicon wafers that are reserved to sony by Global foundries or TSMC.

Anybody knows who is making the PS4's chips? GF or TSMC? I guess it is TSMC... GF can't do much more than the AMD's chips (in fact they needs to ask TSMC do produce somes GPUs).

I assume that TSMC would have a higher wafer capacity mainly because of the fact that they need a bigger business to maintain their operating costs but AMD can simply just use both of them to manufacture the PS4s or X1s silicon.

Didn't AMD manufacture their richland APUs at global foundries or am I missing something ?
