1. Rebrand the thing. If not, at least change the logo so that the U doesn`t feel like an add on to the Wii.

2. Change the shape of the console.

3. Change the boxart of the console to actually show off the console instead of hiding it behind the gamepad (coupled with the U problem in the logo, it does reinforce the feeling that the gamepad is an add on).

4. Use pics in the boxart of the actual console to exemplify what you can do with the gamepad - like they did with the NES boxes, where families were together playing around a TV.

5. Make partnerships to diversify your exclusive portfolio as to include sports, racers, shooters, action/adventure and RPG titles.

6. Make use of the Virtual Console by releasing a special NES, SNES, N64 and GC Wii U special editions and including all launch games (made and/or published by Nintendo) for the respective consoles and also include an original (wireless) controller to go with the special edition.

7. Release special collections with VC and Indie games, for special prices and advertisse you gaming offerings on TV (retail, VC and Indie).

8. Lastly, pack in 3rd party games with your best 1st/2nd party games for a special price as to build a fanbase of those franchises and encourage 3rd parties to support the system.
