Its posts like this that make me laugh at the sheer idiocy of some people. I primarily play games on console. This is true of my PS4 and was true of my PS3. Yes i might watch a Blu-Ray occasionlly on it or try some demos etc. Those are just added bonuses on top of it being a games machine. 98% of the time my console is used to PLAY GAMES. MS fanboys seem to think that voice and gesture control are amazing or being able to game and watch tv at the same time is innovitive but when in fact my TV allows these functions already. I can play a game and then bring a small window up to watch TV at the same time. I have voice and gesture control too and Skype as well. These new SMART tvs have all this and more. All new tvs will come with these functions as standard.
The problem is the world has moved on and even smackheads have smartphones and tablets. Nobody wants to use a console on tv to use facebook when its so much easier to use the phone in your pocket or the tablet or PC in your house. Best thing is these functions aren't behind a PAYWALL!
The best feature i like is the HDMI in on the X1. Hey plug in your Sky box into the X1 to watch Sky TV. How amazing is that???? Will wonders never cease??? Only problem is you have to have both boxes on???? Your joking right???? Both??? ON??? What a waste of time and electricity! This really is very innovitive!!! So in the end you still need a Sky box so why do you need the X1????
I'm glas SONY concentrated on making the PS4 first and formost a games machine. The rest they can patch in! It does more than enough now and will get better with time but as a games machine it will always be more POWERFUL than the X1
