It does some more, but multi patry videochat (or just voice chat) and game streaming is not one of those, neither is voice control...
Your friend simply showed you the streaming option on the xb1, on the ps4 it's right there on the controller if you want to share footage on the spot, or if you want to watch others, it's in the main menu, you can even join the game they are playng right there on the spot if you have it, or interact with the host!
so yeah, it's the snap feature and the hdmi in that stands apart on the xb1... That and the overall weaker system.
I think you did not see all the ps4 can do or how well it does its thing, but I admit that the interface is rather spartan.
