The Snap feature is awesome, play your game while checking facebook, or Vgchartz at the same time, or video chat with your friend while both playing... the same game, or something different.
I really don't understand this, maybe cause I've been able to do that since windows 3.1 and have always preferred full screen gaming instead. I switched to consoles to get away from the multi tasking distractions. Maybe it's just me, I'm not that interested in talking to friends while playing (unless they're in the room ofcourse). I usually ignore the message received notification, will get back to you after I finish the chapter or race.
The live streaming feature is nice to check out other games, and random drunk people, but gaming is the nr 1 purpose.

Me and 3 of my co workers are the same exact way. We have each other on the friends list but we only talk if we are playing together. Seriously... what is there to say while sitting and playing a game and paying attention to the game more than the person on the mic? There would be a lot of dead air and i just hate dead air. Makes me feel like i need to talk to fill it even if i have nothing

Exactly, I find myself starting to comment on my own actions in game, and half the time I can't understand what they're saying so I end up turning the game sound down. Might as well stop playing altogether.
My friends are the same anyway, so we prefer to stick to text communication when not playing the same game together. Read and reply at your convenience. I like how that has been improved on ps4. Nice thread layout and extremely easy to add screenshots to the thread. And while I initially didn't think much of the motion based text input, I now use it all the time when I don't have the keyboard plugged in. It works a lot better then wii-mote and move simply because you don't need to hold it in the air nor point it at something. I hope they enable it for the browser soon.
