1000+?? On PS3/360? Full game installs of "AAA" titles?  I really doubt it.

Id imagine in that 1000 theres a fair bit of downloadable games. Also IGN seems to have gone for a worse case scenario.

Take out one of the big games like Ryse (which is ~40gb) and you can install another 10 - 15 smaller titles.

Unless you were talking about simply putting in the disc and playing? In which case the PS4 does the whole install while you play thing..

I agree its a downgrade but personally i think its at an acceptable amount. I dont think I've ever needed to have access to more than 4 or 5 games at one point in time. I guess I've also had some practise with the PS3 slim 120gb...

Hadn't really ocurred to me, but considering that the installation process on the PS4 in my personal experience has been pretty much invisible in that you can just insert game disc and play as it installs, there's no reason why one would have to keep every game they own installed on HDD. Just the game saves and added content really. Which are stored in the PSN cloud anyway.

There really is quite a leap between the installation process on the PS3 and the PS4. I'm actually curious as to when I'll hit that storage ceiling and have to look into upgrading the HDD because if I don't have to leave everything installed, I'd just as soon delete installations and then do quick, painless reinstalls if I go back to a game I've stopped playing.
