As a Muslim we believe in djinns, so most ghost sightings here (i live in a predominantly Muslim area) are blamed on them. The first place we ever heard about it was at our Primary school in year three. That place must have been very cursed, it was built on top of a graveyard. The girls toilet's were haunted, at least three girls were traumatised due to seeing a Black face with red horns watching them in the mirror, only to turn around and see nothing. We were kids back then, so I took it for attention seeking to be honest.

But after that there was the whole school assembly where the school were discussing on moving all the pupils to a different building further up, it was winter and the assembly was in the gym so there were no windows, the lights started flickering and the headteacher looked concerned, it then came off and with some bellowing echoing monstrous screams :/. Like somehow we'd pissed the Djinn off by trying to make a run for it. I couldn't sleep for weeks after that.

After that it was the last week we would be in that school, then everyone would be transferred to a new building about 10 minutes away starting in September. In our playground there was one burned down house in the far corner that no-one really cared about, it was just there, i think in the past it had been used by the caretaker, out of the blue two black dogs came running out, I've always been scared of dogs anyway so i hid on the climbing frame, but them 2 black dogs, came out of nowhere, did a few laps around the playground, chasing the kids, and then rang back into the building, they were never found.

After we left that building it got converted into a mosque a few years later, apparently it's been purified now as the evil Djinn have left. But there's a big park nearby that the mosque leader says they would have gone to, as Djinn like living in either Abandoned buildings or places with Tree's. That gave rise to the notorious Myra Shay Jinn. He urged people not to walk alone there after sunset unless they know a protection prayer, this was when i was around 15, so like any rebellious teenager, it sounded like fun.

After that me and few other lads would go there at night to smoke and generally fuck around there, we never encountered anything strange until one night, when it was just 2 of us, walking in we seen a figure stood there, huge, i'd say at least 7 foot, it's skin was either black or it was wearing black clothing, with red eyes and it's feet were backwards, to be honest the first thing i did was ran, i ran off, looked back and saw my friend had just frozen, eyes locked onto the Djinns eyes, i grabbed him and he shook himself like he'd just gotten out of some spell and come back to reality and we ran and never looked back. Nobody believes us, but whenever i see him i know that what i saw that day was real, he saw it too.
