Long ago, when I was 12 had an old TV in my room so that I could play with my SNES. One night when I was lying in the bed suddenly the TV started to turn on and off... and the tv made a certain noise evertime it turned off/on. It was spooky because there wasn't anyone in the room and the remote control was next to the tv. The tv was also turning on and off without a certain pattern... sometimes it turned off within a second and the next turn was after 10 seconds. It felt like there was a ghost with intelligence who tried to fool me.
Well, after two minutes I stood up and turned the light on. After inspecting the TV I found that the power button was stuck halfway in... it was only a bad contact.
The other spooky story was last year. I couldn't sleep and so I stood up after midnight and went to the living room. I turned on the tv and there was the movie "drag me to hell", a horror movie. It was summer and I opened the window in the living room. As I sat down on the couch there was that scene where they tried to summon the demon lamia and it went wrong. Exactly at that moment where the demon possessed that human and started to dance around flying in the air suddenly the door next to me started to open and there was no one there. After a sudden moment I realized that it was just the wind because I have opened that window... but if my wife would have been in that room in that very moment she would have screamed in terror, that is for sure^^
