#22: Terraria (PC)
I never expected to like this game that much. I bought it dirt cheap during a Steam sale thinking it was a 2D sidescroller and when I found out it was closer to MineCraft in 2D, I was pissed (because MineCraft is a total bore)! I gave it a chance and boy did it pay off! There's a greater focus on battling enemies in this game, there's tons of ore to mine, weapons to craft/find, plenty of items to better your mobility, there's bosses to fight, a hard mode to unlock. Then there was the 1.2 update that added more than a hundred enemies, new events, ores, weapons, armor, items, so much to do!
Also, the game likes to have some fun with items named like "Golden Shower" or enemies named "Mourning Wood".
