I actually like Pachter. Not because of his attitude or predictions but because he openly admits that he is not always right and that he doesn't have to be right in his job. Also his core job is not making predictions but giving "context" to topics. That's why he earns more in a month than you in a year.
He might be wrong on this one one but do you really think that his sources and experience are worse than what you researched in a few minutes on the internet?
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
