Not surprised at all... Other than those supposed "hardcore gamers" who believe that because all games are not in 1080p, the Xbox One is useless, the general consumers sees what the Xbox One can do on top of gaming and now this is what Microsoft was betting on :)

Both systems have just launched in less then a month. They're both selling to the "hardcore gamers" as of now. What do you mean general consumer?  You mean a TV/casual crowd?  at $499.99?  Do you have anything to support that claim?

The people that shop at Walmart and Target that buy consoles for their loved ones. Not everybody that buys a console now is hardcore.

While that is true I think he was saying that Imaginedevl(s) post was kind of not accurate. Because seeing as boths ystems have just launched not even a full month ago it is still MOSTLY the "hardcore gamers" that are buying the systems. And the people that shop at Walmart and Target that are buying the consoles for their loved ones more than likey are getting whatever it is that loved one prefered or spoke about.

So it really isn't just the casual crowd buying either system just yet. No casual is really going to go buy something they know NOTHING about for themselves. So in short not enough time has passed for taht stage as of yet. But after the Holiday(CHristmas) there will be a lot more systems out there and word of mouth witll have gotten around a lot more(along with more stock for both systems) then the casuals will jump on board for which ever system seems the best!

As for the topic at hand BRAVO MS!

Thank you, that's exactly what I was trying to say.
