Things are normally only interesting enough for most people to comment on if a system is a roaring success or an abject failure.

Wii-U is not close to and probably will never be a success, so failure is the only option left. If it was producing just middling numbers that were okay but nothing great, that wouldn't be as much fun, and there wouldn't be nearly as many replies (see: any Wii-U or Vita thread over the past 2 years).
