No.

The online is complete trash, nothing good to be had there at all.

The single player really doesn't do much to advance what Vice City or San andreas did years ago. Yeah it was much better than GTAIV, but GTAIV was a pile of shit so that isn't an achievement at all.

The combat mechanics are clunky and really outdated, and that goes for most of the game. Too many missions for fetch quests or just 'go here, kill X' with only major heists standing out, of which are not many.

GTAV reviews are all invalid, since they all released before the multiplayer launched and games always get dragged down for bad multiplayers, GTAVs multiplayer is awful and built around microtransactions.

You make a lot of valid points sir.

Play the game and then return to me. It is truly something special beyond that of "an amazing" game.

I'm sure it is, but that's just your opinion! Many hold the same about GTAV clearly.

I don't own a PS3 either so I can't play it.

I'm fairly certain GTA3 was special when it came out. GTAV builds on it and adds stuff, making it bigger and better (something both Vice City, San Andreas and GTAIV did as well). It's an improvement, a clear one. Just like my beloved Uncharted 2 & 3 are. But is it special beyond masterful? In my eyes, no. And I played it quite a bit both online and offline. TLOU wins for being something new and pushing the medium forward in writing, characters, gameplay, AI, narration and more, by far. Obviously it wouldn't matter if it wasn't masterful also which it is.

Just fucking look at dis man:
