Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response ( abbreviated ASMR ) Videos are highly popular ( their views counts always seem to be in the thousands and sometimes even hundreds of thousands of views ) ( and oftentimes lengthy) videos that you can find in a great abundance on youtube that are said to produce soothing, Relaxing, Pleasurable, Hypnotic, and "Tingly" ( the tingly sensations are sometimes referred to as "brain orgasms" ) in their viewers; however, it is said that no one ( and least of all science ) can really account for ( http://www.vice.com/read/asmr-the-good-feeling-no-one-can-explain ) the effects of ASMR Videos or for why they are so popular. It is also largely agreed upon or at least stated by the biggest proponents of ASMR videos that there is nothing at all sexual in nature about ASMR videos.
However, I'm not so personally convinced of that. Is there effect soley due to some part of the human brain that is effected by the soft sounds and soothing encounters conveyed through ASMR Videos or do you think that these young women that have been making ASMR Videos have actually stumbled upon a form of Pornography-That-Is-Not-Pornography and that also happens to be youtube safe ( Note: Most pornography placed upon youtube is supposed to be taken down by the moderators of the site long before it ever reaches the amount of views that these ASMR videos enjoy and people's youtube priviledges are almost always invariably revoked for posting porn to youtube as soon as it has been discovered that they've done so ) and that a sexual component inherit in many ASMR videos accounts for the success of the ASMR phenomena?
