That is the wisest remark I ever read on this subject, you are so right.

Sony Brazil did get a lot of hate for the Playstation brand here in Brazil, a lot of people I know felt like the price was a betrayal. They should have waited and launched the console when they  were able to produce it here.

I would understand that, for sure, but the crazy price was a really bad move. As you said, those consoles would not last a day on USa, and here they are collecting dust on the shelves.

You raise a point I forgot to mention too. The crazy price is almost a slap in the face. It's so bad that it makes people want to buy an xbox just out of spite. On top of it all, had they not released, people might have simply held off until they did, but now that both one and ps4 are on the market, people are choosing now, and choosing the competition. Point is, had they not released, it's likely that fewer xbox ones would be selling. I think that's a pretty good theory.
