The problem with the Pirates series is that a large majority of the scenes are shot in dark places, which results in increased grains. So I would place them in the mid-range of blu-ray titles based on quality.

Basically, any movies shot 70mm film will have grains, it's the movies shot on HD cameras that really stand out and look absolutely amazing.
