Why do people who ask this question always assume that "everyone" who owns PS+ belongs to the ilk who chastised XBOX Live? I myself have never complained about XBOX Live because I'm not interested in XBOX one way or another but it's pretty easy to see that the value of PS+ outweighs that of XBOX Live.
Also, it's understandable that people chose to go with a console on which they can play online for free because they don't want to play but subsequently are willing to pay when there is really no other viable alternative (Don't even mention WiiU). I'm sure if Sony had chosen to charge this gen abd Microsoft chose to go free that many PS3 users would move to XBOX.
