No they are not. The current gen ports are built on an engine optimised for those systems and architecture types. The Wii U is closer to PS4/ONE in architecture type only being much weaker hence why a SCALED down port from the new engine would work better.
However they would first also need to build the ability into the new engine to do that better, which costs more money and the real question here is would it be worth it for them knowing the sales of ACIII?
