Frozenbyte weren't lazy on Wii U. Nor were Criterion or Shin'en. They all got good results. Ubisoft are the main culprit for lazy ports. (Assassin's Creed 3 and 4, Splinter Cell Blacklist) Neogaf aren't a reliable source as they are simply speculating based on incomplete evidence. Devs are the most reliable source: " the Wii U is a truly powerful console. The console is definitely more powerful than the Xbox 360 and PS3" - Julius Fondem, Frozenbyte. http://gamersxtreme.org/2013/07/08/developer-interview-with-frozenbyte-wii-u-is-a-truly-powerful-console/ |
Dark siders 2 dev
"So far the hardware's been on par with what we have with the current generation, so, based on what I understand, the resolution, textures, polygon counts and all that stuff, we're not going to being doing anything to up-rez the game, but we'll take advantage of the controller for sure.

Black forest games dev
" Overall the hardware itself is slightly faster than the other current-gen consoles. One very nice advantage the console has is the additional usable memory you have. Having that extra memory made development much easier compared to other current-gen platforms."
"we already had our game released on the X360, and going from a console release to Wii U is easier since the consoles have very similar performance characteristics"
And the funniest devs are the biggest liers, they told us AC4, COD and dark striders would run and look much better then wiiu, so i don't see why you take them as credible souces.
