Pathetic it was even a thing to begin with. Still stupid to mandate to developers for day 1 parity as well.

Also "Case by case basis" leaves a lot of room for interpretation.

Also, they seem to indicate they still do insist on it being released the same day and that is horrendous for devs and the industry:

MS needs to change this BS.

But great for their consumers. For them, its about day 1 money, but it also is them wanting their customers to have the game as well, and at the very least the same day as the competition. Nothing wrong with that.

WOW at defending this anti-consumer and anti-develoepr BS. My link shows why this is a despicable practice. Nothing good comes out of this only MS trying anything in theri power to control and pressure smaller developers. it is sad and shows they don;t have confidence in their product on its own merits. No wonder many devs were fed uop with dealing with MS.

It shows that they have the money and influence Sony tends to cheapen out on. As a Xbox gamer, it is nice knowing that the company secured a game day 1 or even as a timed exclusive.

Its anti-losing side. The developer gets more money and more gamers get to play day 1. Seems the only group that thinks they lost is people like you.
