It could go either way honestly.
Nintendo seems much more determined to turn the Wii U into a success than Sony does with the Vita. It will depend on how quick Nintendo can change things.
Vita is a big "?" because we have no idea what it's future line-up looks like. I will say that Wii U will pass Vita in sales by the end of 2014 though.
Mario Kart 8 & SSB4 combined with a Gamepad-less Wii U for $200 should be able to do wonders for Wii U sales. Will it begin doing Wii #'s? No. It should however, produce respectable sales.
