Pathetic it was even a thing to begin with. Still stupid to mandate to developers for day 1 parity as well.
Also "Case by case basis" leaves a lot of room for interpretation.
Also, they seem to indicate they still do insist on it being released the same day and that is horrendous for devs and the industry:
