1. Large-scale for-profit asteroid mining
2. Anti-ageing technology/vast extension of human lifespan
3. The end of fossil-fuel dependance
4. 3D-printers a common household appliance much like today's TVs, desktop computers or microwaves
5. Technological singularity
In hopes that these advancements among others (so many more I could list!) lead to a post-scarcity society (eradication of poverty, material wealth etc.) in my lifetime. That may be an idealistic view, but I think it's possible.
