Is X1 forcing Kinect on us any different than PS3 forcing Bluray on us?

I can understand the reasoning but no, I don't think so. Blu-Ray is a medium to deliver the game to us which would benefit the industry in the long run while Kinect is a controller, while it might benefit the industry in the long run too, not in the same way or even, not even as needed. CD and DVD were the same.
