Well we can at least agree that the output is vastly different between the two systems.
Then it's just a matter of perspective of which one is wrong. Since my ps4 seems to be compatible with ps3, WiiU, PC and cable box, it's XBox that's going against the norm. (All HDMI devices work fine together, but yes my component dvd player needs it's own settings, hence I avoid using component to HDMI conversion)
