Just like with Ryse, those reviews don't mean shit. Wait a year or two, then look at Knack again and your opinion about it will probably have changed tremendously, right now people are blinded way too much by the game being next gen.

Why?

I dont know about the Sony crowd, but on Xbox Live when 360 came out. Perfect Dark Zero had 2.5 stars out of 5. So you cant say early adopters are xbxo fanbos marking high. It didnt happen at launch for 360. Also Ryse is bought by people who know what to expect. A cinematic experience and is being reviewed by these gamers as that. Same for Knack.

Who cares what some guy on a website paid to be there and probably sponsored by Sony, Mircosoft etc etc. If my mate says a game is good, Ill trust him. Not some dude from some site Ive never met.

No, you can definitely say that early adopters are marking the big MS/Sony published launch games higher, they  went out and bought a 500/400 dollar machine on day one for those games for gods sake they have to assure themselves that they've made the right decision. Also I have watched a Ryse playthrough on Youtube and while I will not comment on gameplay (aside from the missing enemy variety, you either fight barbarians with an ax or fat barbarians with an ax, a shield and weird pointy nipplearmor), I can definitely say that this games' story is completely mindless, so sure the game is cinematic, but that doesn't mean it's good at it and I'd honestly suggest you to play the game again in a year after you've experienced more next gen games.

But anyway, while I don't think people should sheepishly agree with reviewers, I would still at this point trust their opinion about a game way more than a guys' that has just 1-2 weeks ago bought an expensive new electronic device just to play said game. You can go about finding games you like anyway you want, but for me there is absolutely no merit in user reviews for big next gen games at this point.

I liked the story. Cliche yes. Well Done absolutely. Theirs games out there that media say is a good story and well done. I bought these games based on the reviews and hype. And they were mediocre to a  borefest. Theress story out there praised by people which are just as cliche as Ryse but far worse impllemented.

Rule of thumb? I dont trust reviews for cinematic games. Ive ben burned to many times. Gears Of War series the mdia say is passale story. I enjoyed that more than the gmes they praise for story. Gears 3 was amazing. So was 2. I love the story. Halo, best story in games Ive ever seen. Iv playd and completed yse 4 times already. Im still not sick of it. I stil havent played Forza 5 yet. I want to get 1000 gamerscore first on Ryse, nd thebest bit is i doesnt feel like a chore.

Best cinematic gae Iv played yet. Love it.

Also Really like Knack. After playing KZ and Knack definately reccomend Knack first. Thought i was really quite good.
